THE ROLE OF AN ART TANK
LOUD SPRING intends to increase awareness of how EcoFeminist values seek to benefit the whole of society and to promote societal change by collaborating and activating communities globally through art happenings.
WHAT IS IMPORTANT NOW
LOUD SPRING is an Art Tank inspired by EcoFeminism - which originally combined ecological concerns with feminist ones, regarding both as resulting from male domination of society. Today, we aspire to re-claim and re-define its impact in a more contemporary, inclusive, and intersectional context.
The last decade and current global political climate have shown us that human rights are never absolute, reproductive rights are still very much under attack, and short-sightedness still takes over environmental risk.
Art has the power to create awe, shift minds, and galvanize crowds. Together, we can raise our voices and creative minds to seed a collective future yet to be imagined.
IDEAS
Each intervention and collaboration aims to address central challenges facing modern society as it relates to notions of equality and sustainability. Through artwork, exhibits, performances, talks, panels, or lectures, we raise important questions to cultivate dialogue.
ACTIONS
Our events, programs, and activations gather community and encourage tangible actions to bring about change. From participatory installations, to beach cleaning, to upcycling workshops, and beyond, we propose ways for people to get involved and contribute.
RITUALS
In order to encourage lasting impact, and individual introspection, we incorporate rituals through collective moments that help bring more, awareness to our community, people, nature, and environment.
